Terms of use
Last updated: 29 July 2026
These terms apply to the SayAgain browser extension and this website. SayAgain is operated by Lev Fedorov ("we", "us"). By installing or using the extension you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use SayAgain.
1. What the service is
SayAgain is a browser extension that works on top of YouTube. It displays a video's existing subtitles as a readable strip, shows a translation of a phrase you select, replays the exact fragment of the video that phrase belongs to, and lets you save phrases as flashcards which are then presented for review on a spaced-repetition schedule.
SayAgain does not host, store, or distribute video. It works with subtitles and video that YouTube itself provides in your browser, at the moment you are watching. Translations are produced automatically and may be imperfect; SayAgain is a learning aid, not a professional translation service.
2. Accounts are optional
You can use SayAgain without creating an account. In that case your saved cards live in your own browser only, and they are not available on your other devices.
Creating an account lets your cards sync between devices and is required in order to subscribe to Pro. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for what happens under it. You may ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by writing to flsfedorovlev@gmail.com.
What we collect and why is described in our privacy policy.
3. Free tier and Pro subscription
SayAgain is free to use, with a limit of 100 saved cards. Pro removes that limit. The current price is €4.99 per month and is shown before you confirm payment.
A Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and continues to renew until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal, which is reachable from inside the extension. Cancelling stops all future charges; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We may change the price of Pro. If we do, existing subscribers will be told in advance and the new price will only apply from a following renewal, never retroactively. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach us; we do not see or store your card number. Your use of Stripe's checkout and billing portal is also subject to Stripe's own terms.
Refunds are handled as described in the cancellation and refunds section of our home page. Nothing in these terms removes any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use SayAgain for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaks YouTube's own terms of service;
- attempt to circumvent the free-tier limit, the payment flow, or any technical restriction in the extension or its backend;
- resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to SayAgain, or share one subscription across many people;
- interfere with the service, its servers, or other users — for example by automated bulk requests, scraping, or attempts to gain unauthorised access;
- reverse engineer or copy the extension except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows it.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for this reason, we will refund the unused part of the current period.
6. Your content
The cards you save are yours. We store them so we can sync them between your devices and show them to you for review, and we do not claim ownership of them. Card content is drawn from third-party video that belongs to its own rights holders; saving fragments for your personal study does not give you any rights over that material, and SayAgain does not grant you any.
7. YouTube is a third party
YouTube is a service operated by Google LLC. SayAgain is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube, and we do not control YouTube in any way.
This has a practical consequence you should be aware of: YouTube can change its player, its page layout, or the way it delivers subtitles at any time and without notice, and such a change can stop parts of SayAgain from working until we adapt to it. We fix these breakages as quickly as we reasonably can, but we cannot promise that SayAgain will work uninterrupted. Availability of any particular video, subtitle track, or language is entirely up to YouTube and the video's owner.
8. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid subscription gives you, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the current period. We may also update these terms; the current version is always at this address, with the date it was last changed at the top. For changes that materially affect subscribers we will give notice in advance.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
SayAgain is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that translations will be accurate, or that use of SayAgain will produce any particular learning result.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of SayAgain.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to SayAgain is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) 50 EUR.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law in your country of residence.
11. Termination
You may stop using SayAgain at any time by uninstalling the extension, and you may ask us to delete your account and its data. We may terminate or suspend the service, or your access to it, if you break these terms, or if we discontinue SayAgain altogether. If we discontinue the service while you hold a paid subscription, we will refund the unused part of the current period.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
13. Contact
SayAgain is operated by Lev Fedorov. For any question about these terms, about your subscription, or about the service, write to flsfedorovlev@gmail.com. We aim to reply within a few working days.
